Tony Amadio took office for his first term as a Beaver County Commissioner on January 4, 2008 and was honored to be selected as Chairman of the Board of the Beaver County Commissioners at that time. A career public servant, Mr. Amadio brings over three decades of experience as a teacher and twenty-four years of experience as a township supervisor to the Beaver County Courthouse.

At the same time, he worked hard to insure that the neighborhoods retained their safe, comfortable environment for the citizens of his community. Commissioner Amadio intends to use this same type of common sense management to insure that all the communities of Beaver County can grow to their greatest potential and provide opportunities for renewal in each neighborhood.

During his first term as Commissioner Chairman, Mr. Amadio managed Beaver County's government during the worst economic downturn in the last eighty years. He has been and continues to work hard -on all of our behalf's- to stabilize the budget and adjust to the continued Federal and State revenue cuts that have been affecting how we do the County's business, while continuing to provide the necessary services to our most vulnerable populations within our communities.

During his second term as Commissioner Chairman, Mr. Amadio is happy to report the county did not increase taxes during his eight year tenure, the number of county employees was significantly reduced, the Board considerably lowered the county's debt and maintained an importantly, that in 2015, Beaver County had a fully funded pension, with a value that nearly doubled to $300 million.

Continuing into his third term, Commissioner Amadio helped successfully negotiate the building of a multi-billion dollar petrochemical complex in Beaver County, which in turn prompted additional development. This helped bring thousands of construction jobs to the county. In addition, he worked closely with PennDOT and other officials to ensure the completion of Crows Run Road, a more efficient route from Beaver County to Cranberry Township.

Along with a more efficient and effective government, Commissioner Amadio touts an improved infrastructure positioning us for county growth, a quality of life that is second to none, education and workforce options, partnerships and collaborations within our region, opportunity for all through inclusion, and a bright future for all of our county residents who want to participate!
