A graduate of Geneva College and Duquesne University School of Law, Judge Kim Tesla was elected to the Court of Common Pleas in November of 2007.

Prior to his election, Judge Tesla was an Assistant District Attorney for 17 years, from 1990-2007.  During his years in that office, he handled many high profile cases and was appointed to serve as a Special Deputy Attorney General in 2001-2002 to aid in the prosecution of the defendants accused of killing an Aliquippa police officer.

Before commencing his tenure in the District Attorney’s Office, Judge Tesla worked as a staff attorney at Neighborhood Legal Services, providing legal representation to indigent citizens in civil matters.  He began his legal career clerking for the Hon. John F. Bell of the Court of Common Pleas of Washington County and then clerked for the Hon. Patrick Tamilia of the Superior Court of Pennsylvania.

Judge Tesla is an active member in many community organizations.
