American Rescue Plan Tracking
In 2021, Beaver County received almost $46 million from the Coronavirus State and Local Fiscal Recovery Fund which was established by the US Department of Treasury under the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) of 2021. The County received the balance of $46 million as a second payment in 2022 for our total allocation of almost $92 million. This funding is intended to provide support to governments in responding to the economic and public health impacts of COVID-19 and in their efforts to contain impacts on their communities, residents and business. Payments must be used for eligible costs incurred during the period March 3, 2021 through December 31, 2024 and expended by December 31, 2026.
The Board of Commissioners are responsible for determining how these funds will be spent under the guidelines established through the Department of Treasury. Initial allocations have been presented and can be found on the Commissioners webpage. The Controller’s office will monitor this spending and publish updates to actual spending as it is incurred.
